Can I get samples of stones that I like?

• You can come to our showroom to see all the samples we have available of all the different brands we work with. When we come to measure the site we can provide you with samples as well.

How much overhang should a kitchen worktop have?

• For a handleless profile it is 5mm, if kitchen has handles it will be between 10-20mm. Get in touch to speak to an expert

How much overhang for a kitchen island if I want to have stools?

• We recommend between 250-300mm

Pro & Cons of Marble worktops:

+ Ultra elegant finish
+ Longevity
+ cost effective in the long run
+ Improves value of the house
+ Natural material

• Not completely heat resistant so need to be careful with hot pots
• Marble requires good maintenance as it can stain from wine, juice, oil etc
• Depending on the material it can get scratched

Pro & Cons of granite worktops:

+ More heat & scratch resistance than marble
+ One of a kind product – each slab is unique
+ It’s sanitary – granite is naturally resistant to bacteria
+ easier to clean than wood surfaces

• Can crack if something hard drops on it
• Very heavy material may require additional support much like other natural stones

Pro & Cons of Quartz worktops:

+ Unique and luxurious appearance
+ Surface is non pouros and incredibly durable. Scratch and heat resistant
+ Easy to clean
+ Improves value of the house

• Prone to heat damage
• Is not a natural material – but does mimic natural materials like marble/granite
• More costly because of its durability
